Staying in an Italian palace? Yes, it is possible for an affordable price only 20 minutes by bus from the over-crowded Venice. It is an unrepeatable experience with the scenary of a medieval palace interiour. We felt like a time-travel to the brightest years of the Venician Empire. Our host, Cesare is a living history-book who knows plenty of stories about the building and its previous owners. And his life is also worth to make a movie. :-) We are super grateful to find this accomodation which gives a traveller much more than man can expect.
Cesare is a wonderful host who knows how to tell stories and has wonderful recommendations
Cesare was extremely helpful for our stay and information re Venice what to do. Is half hour easy bus ride up road. The house is like a palace full of Venetian antiques and wonder everywhere. Very fortunate to be able to stay in this beautiful home
This is one crazy, a little bit spooky but amazing place to stay. We spent here only one night as we were in transit, but if I am coming to Venice I would choose this place again to stay. We arrived around 22.30h, it was completly dark. All the lights were off. Self check-in. People from the Villa provided all the codes ypu need to enter the parking and take the key so it was smoothly. When I entered the floor where the room was, I was speachless How many details only in one room... also at the bedroom! The villa is spotlessly clean, everything smells perfectly. The parking is big and safe, so if you are coming by car you don't have to worry. There is a big kitchen you can use during the stay, with coffee machine and other amenities. Bathroom is fully equipped with everything you need. I was free ta take a walk in the morning trough whole house and all I can say is PEOPLE WHO MANAGE THE VILLA ARE DOING AMAZING JOB. I would just like if you could turn on some light for the people coming during the evening My honest recommandation goes to this place, I will come back here for sure
We loved our stay, Cesare and his companions are the most lovely people, generous and interested in hospitality of their guests. They told us stories about the house and made us coffee. The house is old and wild with history in its walls. A bit spooky, gave it such character. Chestnut trees in the garden wave gently infront of the window. Couldn’t recommend it enough.
